My Creature is a Tamarin Monkey

Some things I needed to consider about my creature is that they are quite small and they like playing and swinging in the trees. They eat insects and fruit. They sleep in the trees and they like living with other Tamarin monkey’s.
My enclosure has these special features for my pet: A springy bed, a food and water trough, some trees and some stones to climb on. I made a high fence around it so they don’t get out. If I made a real enclosure the walls would have had a roof on them too. Lucy.JPGLucy (5).JPG

What I am pleased about: How the bed and the trees turned out because when I  finished they looked like real trees also how the trough looked when I finished it.

What I have found tricky: Making the fence stand up and attaching the chicken wire to the kindling.

What I would like to improve: I need to think about how the fence posts will join together because on one of them half a post is on the enclosure floor and half is sticking out.

Camp Omatua

This was my camp fire kai cooking team Ella, James, Jerome,Ella’s dad Phil and me.
Our technology challenges were hard but fun. We had to work really well as a team to get them done to.


Campfire kai was sooo fun it tasted great to!

Here is our drive in movie set up. We had to plan and construct our own card
board car!

How can you tell what is poisonous while you're lost in the bush?

That 1080 is a way to kill pests  very poisonous and if you had a tiny bit you would die

                                            This is a plan of a trap to reduce the amount of 1080 we use it is aimed against has a triger that makes the door close and lock shut.the thing that makes the animal come into the trap is a fake egg.

Step Seven
It went good because even though it took us a while to get going when we did we had an idea of where everything went.
The camouflage went well the  leafs looked really good and the door was cool
It was hard working with the chicken wire because it kept  scratching and cuting us and it was hard to bend
Step Eight
I would change the shape the shape and  I would improve The trigger
Feedback - ask some other children what they thought?
Charlotte: I like the leaves and the spring ramp for a trigger.

Ruby: Maybe on Step 5 and 6 u could write a bit about it and take away the red writing! Anyway Well done :)!

Livy: For the doc you need to take out some of the red writing and I think you have done a great job I liked how  you choose this topic because 1080 is very poisonous  you were very creative well done
The sour lolly
I ate a sour lolly
It turned my face inside out
My eyes were pouring out water
As I started to have doubts.

Should I have eaten this lolly
I thought I could of gone without
I ran around the room
And then I started to shout.

I jumped into the pool
As the pain started healing
I broke into a cold sweat
As  I had a good feeling

This lolly wasn't that bad after all
Although it was so sour
I ran inside and grabbed another
This one lasted for an hour.
